2019 Kiwanis Club of Polk City High School Senior Scholarships

The Kiwanis Club of Polk City is expecting to award up to three scholarships to North Polk High School seniors again in May, 2019. We will look at academic successes and leadership experiences, but a primary focus is on community service. Any North Polk High School senior can obtain a scholarship application from the high school counselors, complete it, and send it to the Kiwanis member and address noted on the application. The application can also be found in the Resources section of this blog.

Kiwanis Club of Polk City Christmas Silent Auction

The Kiwanis Club of Polk City's Silent Auction is Tuesday, December 4 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM in the Polk City Community Room during the Polk City Tree Lighting event. The Silent Auction includes quilts, Polk City business gift certificates from massage therapists, restaurants, TCI, Saylorville Marina, hair salons and many more.  All proceeds from the Auction will be used to purchase Christmas Gift baskets for needy families and dictionaries for all North Polk 3rd graders. Stop by and visit the Community Room to purchase a Christmas Gift while you are waiting in line to see Santa in the Fire Station next door. 

12th Annual Polk City Community Garage Sale

The 12th Annual Polk City Community Garage Sale sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Polk City is this Saturday, June 23, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Please see the map and the sales' listing spreadsheet in the Events section of this blog. You can print the map and accompanying spreadsheet from this blogsite or from the Polk City website, or you can pick up a hardcopy of the map/spreadsheet at Casey's or Kum & Go Polk City stores. 12th Annual Polk City Community Garage Sale

The Kiwanis Club of Polk City facilitates the organization of the Community Garage Sale each June. This year's Community Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, June 23 from 8 am to 4 pm. You can find the flyer and registration form for this year's sale on this blogsite (in the Events section) as well as on the Polk City website. Registration forms can also be picked up at the Polk City Hall and at the Polk City Library. ALL registration forms that will be included on the Community Garage Sale Map need to be received by June 7 at the address listed on the form.

Kiwanis Club of Polk City Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Polk City is scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, March 24 at the fields of Lakeside Fellowship Church for kids 8 and under.  The Kiwanis Club will host their Annual Pancake Breakfast the same day from 8:00 am - 12:00 (noon) at Lakeside Fellowship Church, 1121 W. Bridge Rd., Polk City.  There will be a 'free will' donation at the breakfast with all proceeds going towards Kiwanis Camp OK for 5th grader sponsorship and North Polk High School Senior Scholarships.  Lakeside Fellowship will have games and crafts from 8am - 12pm in their gym.   Thanks to Luana Bank for sponsoring the Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast and to Rob Mordini Realty for sponsoring the Kiwanis Club Easter Egg Hunt. Upcoming Polk City Community Garage Sale

The Polk City Community-Wide Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, June 23 from 8am - 4pm.  Registration forms will be available after May 1st and need to be sent in by Friday, June 1.  The maps locating all the sales will be available Friday, June 22nd.  This community garage sale is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Polk City.  Watch for more information coming out after May 1 at this website, www.kiwanisclubpc.blogspot.com, as well as on our Facebook page and in other community sources.
